My first post may seem a little off genre compared to most of my intended blogings but it is of my most recent findings worth sharing. My 2.75-year old girl has been potty trained for almost a year but has been wearing diapers at bed time.
Every night I have to fight the pull-up diaper on her--she is a very feisty girl. She kicks and runs away and by the end if I run out of patience I have to force it on her.
Three days ago my Wife and I bought a new brand of diapers call "Parent's Choice". They don't look nearly as well marketed as the other brands; no Barbie or princesses on them but, the price was right.
That night I put the new diaper on my Daughter and once on she looked at me with surprise and said "no hurting" as she touched the sides were there was usually the Velcro tear-a-ways. It broke my heart to think that every night I was forcing the diapers on her because I thought she was just being a pain in my ass when in fact she was fighting because the diaper was being a pain in her ass--
literally!
It has been three nights since she has been wearing the Parent's choice diapers and she hasn't fought me once. Furthermore, she normally wakes up in the middle of the night and crawls into bed with us. Frequently, the diaper is pretty full and I need to change it or we end up with a wet bed. But the past three nights she hasn't come in to our room once. Coincidence? I think not.
We have been using both Huggies and Kirkland(Costco) brand from her beginning.
I suggest you don't.
